If your tortoise lives outside in a sunny region, calcium alone is all that's needed, since your tortoise produces its own vitamin D3 from sunshine and warmth (like we do). However, if it lives indoors, it's better to provide a calcium/vitamin D3 powder, since it probably does not get very much UVB radiation.

You can buy a calcium/vitamin D3 powder from the pet store (Rep-Cal, Reptivite, etc.). If all you need is calcium, you can scrape a cuttlebone over your tortoise's food, for example.

If your tort has enough UV, you don't need vit D3

Rep-cal works. So does the ZooMed one. You can also scrape, shave or crush some cuttle bone, or just leave a whole intact cuttle bone in there for the tortoise to self-administer calcium as it sees fit.
