My vet put Toby on Baytril when he unblocked his nostrils because he blead and didnt want an infection to occur. I originally kept him on it for 5 days and went for the weekly check and he was very active and had gone from weighing 400g to 418g so the vet was pleased but told me to let him finish the antibiotics it has now been 9 days since i saw the vet and he has become less active and has gone down to 406g i have been bathing him every other day using reptoboost. Do you think I should continue the medicine or stop? Do tortoises get weeks where they are lazy and loose weigh? because the vet was pleased with his progress.

That sounds perfectly normal for a tortoise on antibiotics. Most tortoises don't want to eat when they are getting shots. 12g could have easily been a good wee and a poop.
