My sulcata is only six months old and he is very active, if it is warm. I live in Florida so most days are great, but if and when we have a cold snap Tonka is going to go into hiding, even if the temp in his enclosure stays the same. One thing my baby loves to do is climb on a pile of towels fresh from the dryer. He burrows and climbs and gets very active. I think he likes the warmth and the adventure of the pile. I hide us inthe pile and he gets even more excited - for a tortoise. Maybe you need to make a play place for yours - something different from just her norm. Smile
My three love Hibiscus and Roses. we have 6 Hibiscus trees in the backyard. I can cut a whole branch off in the morning and leave it on the ground, and when I get home, I throw the remaining stick in the trash. They eat each and every flower and leaf that is on that branch.
Those are hibiscus Flowers that they are eating in the picture I attached.
Morty thanks, I forgot all about Trader Joes. I love there micro Greens (for Me).
Shannon It sounds like you and Tonka have tons of fun. Torts are so adventuresome. I love to watch them explore.

Just a NOTE of CAUTION. Please be aware most foods you buy in grocery stores (unless labled organic) are grown with chemicals and/or sprayed for human consumption, even the flowers. If you buy potted plants be it roses, hibiscus, grape (bare root) or succulents, from local stores like Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes they also contain chemicals and fertilizers and are often sprayed. Repot your plants in organic soil. Most store bought plants are in a medium that will feed your plant for months. After repotting, give your plants a quarantine time just as you would your torts to make sure they are safe for them to eat. Just my two cents worth.
