thing is shes only been out of hibernation for a month so these eggs have been in her thru the hibernation. could they still be "good eggs"?

congratulations, micki. any pics?

A month is enough time to shell eggs, so she wouldn't have had to have them over hibernation.

Congrats Micki, thats great! I cant wait to have Hermanns eggs of my own.
Like Dan said it only takes about a month. I have a few that always lay 4 to 5 weeks after they are woken up from hibernation.
thanx guys. i was so surprised. the 1st egg is half the size of the others and more bumpy but the other 3 are huge. i cant believe that she had them inside her.
how long do u incubate ur eggs before deciding if they are dud ones?
Many times you will notice in just a few hours that they will begin chalking (meaning they are probably fertile) other times it may take a week or more. Don't give up on the eggs too quickly, give them time.
Congratulations Micki, fingers crossed there fertile. Gotta Love eggs. Keep us updated.
thanx everyone. Chris wots chalking?? ive come home tnite and noticed 2 of the eggs have kinda become patchy like patches of shell that have become a different shade.. is this anything to worry about??

Thats chalking, they look patchy white?
yeah parts of the egg are white and parts off-white.. so chalkin isnt anything to do with a chalky dust on the outside of the egg? sorry but thats wot sprung to mind lol
well ive checked the eggs today against a light and it looks like the left side is yolk and the right side is clear. is this normal?
Normal. Chalking begins as a white spot or fleck and it continues to expand until the entire egg is a chalky-white color. After that veins will appear and soon an embryo.
