Before I get negative comments about the dogs with the torts especially one as small as comet. They are never alone with them, they are watched very closely and are very gentle and protective of the torts
Jazz is the Female sheltie mix and has the mother and herding instinct.
Smokie the male is a Pomeranian and is more curious and playful.
Comet looks great Robyn Big Grin Excellent pictures too Big Grin

Danny
Thanks Danny-She/he seems to have her dads adventurous nature and her moms tenacity.
Comet is cutie! I can't wait till the weather warms up so I can take mine outside.
great photos! its a big world out there for such a little tortoise Big Grin
Yes it is and while I was out I seen the hawk that has settled into the tree across the street. It is huge. I will be very diligent when the torts are out of the enclosed pens. One eye on the hawk, one on the dogs and one on the torts. Im running out of eyes. But the Dogs help keep an eye on the torts, me, and the hawk. Will be enclosing another pen if I ever get over this flu and the weather warms again. Safety first.
Great pics Robyn - love the one of him charging over the dirt clump and of course the one of the 3 of you!
I love all of those pics! I'm envious of your weather! We still have mounds and mounds and MOUNTAINS of snow!
I love that Jazz fella!
So cute, my dogs sit on the patio and watch my sulcatas roam the grass, it is so cute... Great pics..
Thanks all,
Jazz has always been a big help watching the torts. She keeps things in line. I often watch her with them and can't help but wonder just what she is thinking. She is so gentle and apears to understand they need watching. When the two Largest DTs got to fighting she tried to get between them just to have them snap and ram her. She just jumped away and ran to me and wined and then ran back to them as if to say "Hurry, Look what they are doing. Do something." She was persistant when I didn't spring up right away she began barking at me and didn't stop until I got up and went over to the torts and physically seperated them. Then she settled right down.
My heart goes out to you all who have mountains of snow to deal with right now. I once was in your position and decided no more snow for me so I remain in CA. Can't imagine living in snow now, and glad I don't have to.
looks like comet was having a good time. love the dog
Thanks Wayne.bob I think Comet was having a great time too. And yes Jazz is a love. Turned out beautiful for a mutt. She is terrier and ? and Sheltie (we think) but I just love her colors and she is so smart. Thanks for noticing.
