These are T.g.antakyensis now and will most likely be T.t.antakyensis
They are a smallish tortoise with a pointed head that always has some yellow on it and is sometimes all yellow. They are found in southern Turkey (where Turkey borders Syria and Lebanon), Syria and Lebanon. Animals from Syria look quite a bit different from Lebanese animals. Lebanese animals are spotted on the carapace and have a very dark plastron, where Syrian animals have few if any spots and a lighter plastron. The one constant is that the last vertebral scute on the carapace is always the widest of all the vertebral scutes.
These are all my pictures.
