Hi, my name is Char, I'm new to this site and a proud new owner of a baby Leopard Tortoise. Of course we can't tell the sex yet, but my Daughter has named her Tallulah Tipsy, so we hope she is a girl. Well, I'm going to include some pictures of my new baby.

Hi Char, welcome to you and TT Smile
welcome aBOARD char. glad to have you.
cute leopard you have there
Hello and welcome to TFO!!!! You have a very cute little leo.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I have a quick question about humidity, I have read very differing opinion and fact about the amount of humidity a Leo should have. I live in a temperate climate and have to keep her inside most of the time, I was just wondering what is a good limit for humidity? I read that humidity may have a great effect on the pyramiding in desert tortoises. Also should I have Humid-hide? Sorry about the questions, just want to do whats best for Tallulah. Thanks.
I don't know much about Leos but in reading I have done they do not do well with a lot of humidity. I use humid hides for my sulcatas and russians and they do well with those. What do you use for her enclosure? Here is a link I have found about Leos. Hope it helps, plus Leo owners will be able to tell you..http://www.wnyherp.org/care-sheets/turtles/leopard-tortoise.php or http://www.tortoisetrust.org/care/cpardalis.html or http://www.chelonia.org/articles/Mistypardaliscare.htm
