She's actually 2" across the carapace, not including head and tail. Is that a good size for a 7 month old THH?

The correct way to measure is to measure the plastron: here is a link given to me by Robyn that explains how to do it.

Thanks Liz....I measured her plastron and is i not quite 2".

Hi Paula, growth rates vary enormously. Even within subspecies there is huge variation amongst animlas that originated from different regions. If your tort is growing in weight and length slowly then thats a good sign.
Paula, a slow, smooth growth should always be promoted. Your little Thh is perfect and just fine at that size for her age.Smile
Thanks Chris, she looks the picture of health. I want to promote that slow even growth so I will feed her according to that plan.
