What a cute little tyke! Welcome to TFO.

The only thing wrong with your setup now is the rabbit pellets. I would ditch those and go with either a soil/sand mix or Aspen shavings for him. You will also want to get a good UVB bulb for him. Put the heat lamp on either end so he gets a warm end and a cool end. Spend your money getting the necessities such as the UVB bulb, he can stay in that Rubbermaid tote for quite sometime. Smile
i went to petco and they keep there greeks in the pellets so thats what they told me to do i got a uvb ill put on 2night ill change the pellets soon. thx
The pellets are hard for them to walk on, plus if they eat them they are usually made of alfalfa which is too high in protein.

What sort of diet are you feeding your little one?

A good source for Sulcata info is http://www.africantortoise.com. You can find listings for Edible Plants, Diet and Edible Landscaping for your Sulcata.
collard greens and he eats the timothy hay but likes the greens
You can chop up the hay real small (I just use kitchen scissors) and spritz the greens with water enough to get the hay to stick so he has no choice but to eat the hay. They need a really high fiber diet of mostly weeds/grasses/hay. Smile
Welcome to the forum!
without this site i wouldve been in alot of trouble trying to raise this guy right
Nice pics! LOVE the name Manson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't feel bad that you are being put right on a couple of things, he would survive it's just these guys make sure you know what's best for him, so he is as healthy as he can be and lives as long as possible, ain't that great?
