He got here a little earlier than was projected! He was wrapped tightly in a black cotton sock with plenty of wadded paper around him, styrofoam fitting in the box, and one heat pack. He was poking his head out of his shell in the sock, and all his little claws were sticking out of the sock, lol. I got him in his enclosure, got him warmed up and within an hour was eating his strawberries Smile

It looks a little bright because of the flash on the camera.

This is how dark it really is in there..the feeding area is where the light is in the first pic.

He did not poo during travel, but as soon as he was out of the sock he let loose Rolleyes. It wasn't very formed and I wondered if this might be due to the stress of shipping and the fact the guy feed him only greens for the 13 months he had him! He sure attacked the strawberries! In fact he had a piece on the cypress mulch and when he finished eating it he ate some of the mulch it was sitting on (is this bad for him?).
So what's his name to be? Socks? I think the mulch will pass.
What a gorgeous cherryhead. Lucky you....:o)

Thanks Paula! I'm happy with him Smile. Socks is tempting Itort Tongue. He just drained half his water dish (which is a 7.5 inch planter bottom!) and went back to his hide side. I'm still in the process of trying to come up with a name for him Big Grin
