They both look like some kind of dandylion or chickory. But don't go by what I say...I'm not the weed expert...

This may sound stupid but are there different types of dandelion??
I believe there is only one dandelion but there are false dandelions and plants that are similar. Often you may need to let it flower to truly identify. Here are some sites that might help. One may be Tumble mustard or Shepherd's-purse? This is where a flowering specimen would help. It also helps to know what state you live in as a search for weeds can be done by state. I personally like the first of these links best as it gives pics of young and mature plants.
