Hello all! I'm Aimee, and my boyfriend Alex is also sharing this account. We just bought a leopard tortoise on Thursday. He's 6 months old. As of now, he's un-named, but we're hoping to decide on a name soon. He's sick right now (we think it's a resperatory infection - we're taking him to the vet this morning), so please have him in your thoughts!
Hey Aimee - Welcome to the forum! We are glad you found us. Good luck with your little one. Please post us a pic!

Dee
Welcome Aimee and Alex to TFo
I have read your other post. I do hope your new shelled baby is fine.
I too have two in with RI. Scary and not fun but you did the right thing by taking it to the vet right away. Good luck with it and please keep us informed on its progress.
Glad to meet you, but really sad to hear you tort is already sick. What a rough introduction to the wonderful world of tort keeping. Hope he gets over it quickly.
[attachment=263]Thank you Josh!

Glad to find a community of So.Cal-based tortoise fanciers to ask all my crazy newbie questions to.

Our new "baby" (well, she's not really a baby) is a lovely Afghan (Russian) teenage tortoise we named Farishta, and we're in the process of figuring out how to best care for her, so we'll be asking a lot of questions!

If anyone here is into music, please check out ours here:
http://www.myspace.com/theXilesmusic Farishta has become a fan already.
Welcome Fiddlerchick and Farishta! Glad you found us. Lots of people with love and experience with torts here!
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I live in Iowa and live with 6 hatching redfoots, one rescue redfoot, two indian stars, a burmese black mountain tort, and one spider tort (brygooi). They do keep me busy.
Welcome to the forum! That is a very nice assortment you have there. We love pics! Please share!
Yes, welcome Itort. Would love to see pictures of your torts. How long have you been keeping torts?
