Tortoises come in from the cold!
It seemed to be a perfect spring…mild weather, sunshine, and reports of tortoises emerging from hibernation raring to go. Off they went into their sunny gardens….
Then SNOW, frosts, and sub- zero temperatures. Tortoises re-entered hibernation, went off their food, became lethargic. Worried owners have been phoning the Three Counties Tortoise Society asking for advice-‘what should I do now?…is my tortoise harmed by the frosts?…how can I get it eating again…?’
Luckily, the '3 County Tortoise Society' can tell you. These experts will be on hand to offer advice and help to these cold blooded animals, and their devoted owners. They will be holding their bi-annual FREE health check (with free veterinary nursing) to any member of the public on Sunday 20th April (10am-4pm) at Christ College (Arle Road) Cheltenham (formerly St Benedicts Catholic College, Arle Road).
