Those are some pretty long toe nails on Sir Stanley Humphrey Windsor, Esq!

Looks like he needs to get out and do some laps on hard dirt.

Love the name! The folks here on the forum are just so good at taking pictures and naming your torts. Stan-the-man is a happy-looking tortoise.

Thanks for sharing!

Yvonne

am i allowed to trim them? (providing he stays still long enough) i am scared of hurting him!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Yes, torts nails and beaks can be trimmed but like a dog they do have a quick and if you are not sure what you are doing I suggest you let your vet show you what and how much to take off. Looks like he may need a beak trim also? Hard to tell from the pics. But he looks like a happy, happy tort.
awww thanks robyn, he has his moments!!! its def something i will look into having done. he had his back claws trimmed as they were curling up by a fella in the nearby reptile shop. unfortunately that particular man doesnt work there anymore and im not so keen on the other fella...so ill get down to the vet!

Love his name!!Cool

He sure is a "Stan -the-man" Tongue[/i]
Big Grin Always interested in how folks came up with the names, so how did ya?
let us know when Stan starts getting credit card applications in the mail!
LOL i just 'had' to have a typical grumpy old mans name, i think the humphrey part sets it off Big Grin the esquire and sir were added for a more 'refined' effect...you can just imagine him smoking a pipe in a smoking jacket! Wink

and PS, the name serves him well, stan is the grumpiest creature i know. lol
