my leopard's claws are getting lengthy.
if it's bothersome, how do i go about trimming them if needed?
I've trimed mine like you would a dogs claws. Depending on how little they are. But to be safe have a vet show you how much to take off, you don't want to cut into the quick and cause discomfort or bleeding.
I would change his substrate. Given he chance to wear down naturally they will not get too long at all Smile

What different substrate could i use to let him wear them down?
Just some sort of rock or gravel?

You can put in a slate tile.
I like keeping a nice big flatish rock in each enclosure. Helps with nails and gives them something to climb on.
i've got pleny of tiles and flat rock in my house/yard so i shall go search the yard and see what comes up.
thanks
