Right, you get all expense paid trip at 4 am on the Mississippi on a cold rainy day. Wowwee LOL. I'm waiting for the 60 lb alligator snapper to be brought to me. Yippee

I actually don't know what he is. I always thought he was a Mississippi Map, but I've been told Ouchita and Black knobbed also. I wish someone knew for sure. I'm in Jersey and found him as a hatchling on the rocks of the Delaware river at low tide. I knew he didn't belong there. I also assume it's a he because his tail is getting really long and thick, he's only 4 inches though. I've had him 2 years and he's contantly shedding his scutes still. That's why he looks like he's ringed in the picture. But he's not.

I think what you've got is black nobbed map. Definetly not native to New Jersey
