Hi
our new baby leopard is being sent in the mail and should arrive tomorrow. I am a little worried about an animal being shipped like that but I hear that many have done it so we will see.
I have spent a little time today going over past threads and trying to get things ready for his arrival tomorrow. After loosing Marley I want to make sure to have things right and hopefully have and keep a healthy tort.
I am going to use the 150w ceramic heater and the 8.0 u.v flourecent bulb. I was thinking to use the coco fiber so he can burrow in it a little and have a moist place if he wants. I have read that is good for him.
I also started growing grass and dandelion from organic seeds bought from the carolina pet supply and will put in an order for the cactus also. I am thinking to throw away that the hay and orchard grass mix I still have that we fed to marley and start fresh. I will also give him the cuttlebone for some calcium. We also still have calcium powder supplement, what kinds are good? I need to make sure that is the right one that we have and to only give it to him once a week right ? We were giving it to Marley daily.
I am unsure of the humidity temp to keep him at, I have some more reading to do tonight on that and also lighting, I will read more about.
Please let me know if I have missed anything.
