I am thinknig of getting anothor tortoise well 2 actaully, another herman to keep Lil Foot company, and am interested in a leopard who wouldnt be kept with the hermans. I relise however that leopards probably need alot of out side space and although i have a fair sized garden now i am moving to a flat for a while. So my question is this how fast does a leopard take to get big?

I have 2 babcocki, a smaller subspecies of leopard. One is about 4 yrs old and he's less than 6 inches while the other one is 5 yrs old and less than 7 inches. I saw the parents a while ago, 20+ yrs old and the male was about 1ft and the female was a little bigger but I don't have the exact measurement. Size depends on the subspecies (pardalis pardalis vs pardalis babcocki), sex, environment and how much food do you feed them, amongst other things.
Rosiee make sure if you get another herman you do a good quaranteen period for both their sakes.
hi i keep a breeding group of pardalis babcocki and my largest female is 18" and about 40lb in weight my 2 other girls are just over 16" and 14 1/2" the larger and smaller of this group have bred and the hatchlings of this sub species is quite distinctive.i hope to be able to confirm the middle one is babcocki sometime in september this year if any of her eggs hatch.
