Well..
I was told having a desert tort was illegal. Since I didn't want to get in trouble for having a illegal tort, I called the fish and wildlife department here in WA state. They directed me to the dept of agriculture. I explained to them the situation of Bill having nearly been ran over and since we didn't want him to get injured, he found his way to my house
. Come to find out, WA state does NOT have a law regarding desert tortoises!
I figured I would share that news with you all. It's been a help to Bill and I to have you here to ask questions and help us along. It's 65 and rainy today so he's been cooped up in the kiddie pool in the garage. He's got a nice light going and a heat lamp. He's been basking on the cinderblock soaking up the heat.
