I thought I would share what I have been up to. 4 kittens were dumped @ my job. They were about 10 days old when we got them. It has been a
lot of fun raising them. They are all so sweet.
Of course Little Foot is of no help @ all. The 2 dogs are great baby sitters on the other hand.
They are now 3 weeks old. My run of watching them will be over soon.
I only keep them while they eat from a bottle. I don't like smelly poop.
Well April it looks like you have been a very busy surrogate momma cat. I have hand raised and bottle fed kittens but only one at a time. 4 at once wow. I know you had your hands full. But I also know what fun it can be. They look healthy and happy. Congrats.
Fostering is so wonderful! I do it myself,, however this year has been a bit heartbreaking. not much luck... BUT the ones I DO manage to pull through is worth it. I tend to take the ones that need that little extra push and TLC..
I have two now that are about to go back to the shelter and get fixed then adopted.. They were a litter of 5... :-( But now they are thriving and growing and bloodwork is neg..
Foster Mommys are the BEST!!! High Five to you all!!
PS.. my tortoise poop stinks! what type do you have?
It is a TON of work but it is worth it. I just pray they are neg.
I am sorry that you have lost some kittens. I sent 3 for a sleep
over tonight & I miss them. One of the little boys is still with since
he needs extra TLC. I will tell you truth though I think I need him
to keep my mind off the rest of the kids. I second the high five to
all who take time for fostering.
Little Foot's poop stinks too.
Great job April. I have fostered many kittens, birds, and bunnies myself. Yes it is very rewarding, especially when they come from horrible conditions and then find good homes. My last son, of 5 boys, is leaving for a new college in two weeks, and I might jump into that again.....I won't know what to do with myself when he leaves. Boo..hoo...
Oh yeah...Pio's poop doesn't seem to smell, although he eats it faster than I can find it to take it out.
