or was he/she outside since birth (more or less)?
My friends sully (she had her when she was an egg) Had the sully outside when it was sunny and warm enough from birth.
When the sully got too big for their yard they rehomed her to a zoo that had loads of land.
Mine go out only for the summer still. Once the weather stays above 60, even at night they are outside. During the winter here in Florida some days are warm enough to put them out but the nights are cold so we sit and move turtles/tortoises in and out daily! lOL
[/b]Rocky is getting ready to move outside . he she is about 3.7... We are moving into a new house and will have a very nice sized yard. We live in Az so almost year round the weather will be terrific. But there are some really great ways to adapt dog houses or TUff sheds with heaters for them at night. Saw some great ones on Sulcata station. We arent exactly sure which ones we are going to go with yet but I am guessing the modified dog house first. That one has a plastic piece on the inside that they push through, like a door. So they have a completely enclosed house. Safe from the elements. I cant wait to plant all of the grass and water features .rocks etc for she/he to play tunnel around. I,m also excited to finally find out if Rocky is RaquelSmile
The reptile store I bought my baby Sulcata at told me that by the time shes 3-5 years "she" will need to have an area in the yard because of the size. Right now "shes" in the house with all the lighting "she" needs. I'm looking forward to "her" getting larger and having a nice area in the back yard.
