While I was setting up the new Redfoots I decided to throw some more variences into my male Hermanns tank for some enrichment. He now has an Aspen area, a long strand sphagnum moss area which goes into his log hide, some bed a beast and some oyster shell under his basking lamp. The base substrate is sand and cypress mulch. I added in a flat piece of rock as well. He gets fed on the rock as well as in a terracotta saucer.

Looks great! I really think they like having some different substrate areas!
Looks great Anja!
nice!

I got this at Home Depot in the specialty dirt area of the garden center. Do they have any large scale home improvement/garden centers where you live?

Yep, we've got those here.
I'll have to check. What's the general garden use for this moss?

I think its used to cover the dirt more for looks with potted plants. Also to make a moss-lined hanging basket, to make a living wreath and a topiary, to start vegetable plants from your own seeds and how to parent a new tree through the ancient Chinese airlayering method.

I live right next door to a Greenhouse, and they sell the Mosser Lee Sphagnum moss! Really easy for me to walk over and get some!
