Well a new hatchling Testudo hermanni hermanni was born a few days ago.

She absorbed the yolk sac just fine and is eating like a little piggy.
I thought I'd post some pics of her.
Here she is:
Here she is with mom and dad....both parents are just 4":
Here she is with some of my hold backs from 2007:
Here's mom next to an adult that is just over 6":

Congratulations!! I will be in contact with you to be put on your waiting list. Although in 'turtle time' I'll probably be dead before my number comes up. I love a good mixed metaphor.

lynn
Thanks Guys
Lynn, don't worry, you'll have a very good shot at some, I produced a good number of them this year and as time goes on more of my animals grow to become breeders. Dan got a few from me this year.

great pics, Chris! she's irresistible.
(is that a THB next to the mom, on the 3rd pic?)
No no that is my largest female Thh straight from Italy.

she's big... and they're so different. no wonder it's so hard to tell the difs between THH & THB. There are so many "ranges" even within THH.
wonderfull italian girl you have there

They're actually not that different at all. Keep in the mind the smalle rone was wet in the photo so that's why she seems so vibrant. However, yes color does vary quite a bit even in Thh.
