Because they are being treated for ear infections, I would tend to stay away from putting anything else on their ears without the vets recommendations. Just my opinion.

You need to find the cause of the infection also. Rule out foxtails or other foreign bodies.. sounds like allergies. Enviromental or food. Both can be very frustrating to treat. Also, when you give the dogs a bath be very careful not to get water in thier ears. Or get something like 'swimmers ear' to use after a bath. Ok it with the Vet first of course.. Ive also heard of a mixure of rubbing alcohol and vinegar to work on some dogs. Drys it out and prevents bacteria.. but infection must be cleared up first!

Hello ok um me and mom ask the vet about the vinegar and alcohol and he said that would not be a bad idea so we are going too start that tonight and see how that works and when we give our dogs a bath or take them too the grommers too get it done we and the grommers use the cotton balls so the water does not get in the dogs ears so we will see if the mixure of rubbing alcohol and vinegar works or not. Hi has the vet tested any of the ear discharge to find out what bacteria is causing the infections, if not this should be done to pinpoint exactly what bacteria is causing the problems as not all meds work on all types so a specific treatment for the type they have might be in order.

Well the vet does think that it is a yeast infection and if so then we will be geting meds for that but next time we go in and the vets says that it is not a yeast infection then they will do moor teast for the dogs to see what other infections they might have going on so I guess we will see me and my mom are doing our very best too make sure that our dogs are happy and healthy and we have a very good vet we had this vet for 5 years now they are wonderful and very on reptiles too.
