Eco Earth

Hi everyone
I was just wondering if anyone used eco earth and if it was any good? At the minute im using 70% topsoil-30%sand.Would you recommend changing the topsoil for the eco earth or just sticking with the topsoil?

RE: Eco Earth

eco earth is ground up coconut husks. there might be subtle differences depending on the type of tortoise you have but i think most people have a lot of success with either topsoil/sand or coco/sand mixtures.

RE: Eco Earth

He is a horsefield. Until recently he was on wood chippings but since ive changed his house i have changed his substrate aswel ive kept half wood chippings and the other half topsoil and sand.Ive made it so its about 4inchs deep so he can dig and burrow but he doesnt seem interested.
