My name is Kelly and I am new to this forum. I am normally a lurker instead of a poster, but I would like to eventually change that.
I have been into tortoises for about 12 years now and have had several species, but I now only deal with Brazillians. I have a 1.2 breeding group who surprised me with 2 hatchlings on 1-20-08. This is after 185 incubating days.
I also have 2 hatchlings from Terry K., and 3 sub-adults. Let me see, 4 dogs, 8 cats and 40,000 turkeys. LOL I am a turkey farmer.
I guess that is it for now. I look forward to learning more about everyone soon.
Thanks.
Kelly

Welcome Kelly! Good to see someone from back home. Im guessing since your Turkey farming your probably somewhere in the NW part of the state? I grew up in central AR, in North Little Rock and Cabot. I just moved north from AR last April to WI.
Congrats on the two hatchlings, that one popping out of the egg is a really cute pic. Love the colors on the little hatchling.
Thank you for the welcome Anja. And yes, you guessed right, I am in NW AR. Located between Huntsville and Hindsville and about 30 mins. from Fayettville. Georgous country if I do say so myself.
WI, huh...Brrr....

Yup I think that area is the poultry capital of the world! lol Nothing but chicken and turkey houses everywhere you look. My aunt and uncle bought an egg production farm somewhere up there. lol
WI=brrrrr=Anja not happy. Im not enjoying my first northern winter at all.

I know it can get pretty cold up there. I was born and rasied in NW Indiana so we always had the wind and cold and all the lake effect snow. It has been pretty chilly here also, but nothing like up there.
