Well I have done it, I have bought a Herman tortoise home today. Having read the caresheet and previously looked at excatly how to look after her I feel that I am ready. Just a couple of little points I would like some help with. I have been told that 1/2 Strawbeery or a rasberries are okay to give mabey every other day. Is that ok. What about apple?

You must be so excited. Fruits every other day sounds a bit too much. Personally, I don't give my Hermanns any fruits at all. She gets cactus and flower sometimes, but most of the time, she gets spring mix, dandelions and such.

Is it a boy or girl? How big? Name yet? We love to see pictures

Congratulations Monika on becoming a tort mom. When I cut the green off the strawberrys I give my Greeks the green parts, if it has a little strawberry on it ok but not much. I also try and stay away from fruit. They don't digest sugars very well.
