Introducing Eli

Introducing Eli the Hermanns Tortoise. Eli was given to me because his mom has hit a bit of a rough patch and felt she could no longer care for him. I have promised her a hatchling later on when she is back on her feet. I think she has done a fabulous job raising him, just look at that shell! He is sooo handsome, a bit shy at the moment so I will have to wait for face pics. He is down stairs settling into his new pad.

She was unsure of his sex, but he looks pretty studly to me. Wink He is 4.25" SCL and weighs 229grams.

RE: Introducing Eli

Anja, I guess it would be called color defenition in his shell? It's Beautiful. I love the contrasting cream and brown the way they almost look like they fold into one another. What a looker he is. Congrats, Great you could help out and nice to offer her a hatchling later down the road.

RE: Introducing Eli

Thanks everyone, Im just thrilled with him. I checked on him a bit ago and he was buried into his moss inside the flower pot. Ill try to get some face pics after while when I feed everyone.
