Milky Urine - Normal or Problem?

Hi guys

Nefti, the recently de-oiled Med Spur Thighed, always seems to have a milky white substance in his urine. Most of the urine is a yellowy colour but there is a discreet portion which is opaque and white.

Is this normal or something to worry about?

Thanks
Steve

hi steve i think what you are seeing is urates and perfectly normal i assume you have recently taken over the care of this tortoise because it sounds like its being bathed regular and because of the access to water it is flushing its system. always ensure they never become more than of a thick and creamy consistency as any grittyness or hard stones points to dehydration and needs to be remedied.
