New Russian tort owner here. Bought one from my favorite fish store one day then acquired more from people now I have 4 and love 'em!
Norman, Thelma, Oliver and Isabelle. I have them in a tort table indoors and just finished constructing an outdoor area for them for the summer. I have attached pictures of my tort table. I have different surfaces for them such as flat stones in the feeding area, bark by the "pond" and enough bed a beast for them to bury themselves in. Also have rocks and large branches to climb over and a large rock formation to climb up on as well as the hide, they climb on that too. I have real grass for them but they don't nibble on that much.
Hello and welcome to the TFO, Your russians look great. Thanks for sharing the pics. I do have one suggestion though. You need to put the lamps at one end of there home that way they have a warm side and a cool side.

Torts are my calming factor! Then we had eggs!
All Greeks, adults (Echo, Ajax, Rusty ), + Comet Still a hatchling & three new Greek hatchlings as of 3-24-08 (Dotsy, LB and DB) + 2 new eggs on 4-20-08, 2 dogs, Fostering 2 DT
I use to have the heat lights on only one side but then they only hung out on that side. So I added another to the rock side but only have it at 80. They seem to like that ok because they do sit on the rock and soak it up every now and then. They still hang out together on the soft and warmer side however. The habitat has a temp range from 70 to 95 depending upon where they are.
