We are new, we just got a hatchling sulcata and it is happily living in the Florida sun! It has an outside pen and an inside tub for now.
Look forward to talking tortoise!

p.s. Oberon is from Shakespeare's A Mid Summer night's dream-he was the king of the fairies. It is hard work naming new animals!
What a cutie, Welcome to TFO.. Just an FYI, Sulcatas only eat weeds and grasses, and then greens from the grocery store. I would stop giving him the fruits asap, as it is really bad for them. A few caresheets for you.. http://www.africantortoise.com/ or http://web.archive.org/web/2007042017315...ation.org/ Since he is little you can also give him spring mix, endive, escrole, red leaf, green leaf, romaine, dandelion greens, etc. etc. Again welcome to TFO and you have a very cute littl guy/gal.

A fairy sulcata!! I LOVE it! Welcome Shawn and Dianne. And thank you for starting off our association with Oberon's picture. We love pictures! You are so lucky to live in Florida (well, except when hurricanes come). Welcome to the forum.
Shawn and Dianne welcome to the forum. Oberon is an adorable Sully. Definitely looks regal. (King of the Fairies) Lots of great folk and info on the forum. And did anyone say how we LOVE pictures
