They will also make an occassional squeaking noise by opening a closing their mouth when startled. Its just the sound of the jaws coming together and nothing to worry about.

Cocunut coir is ok if mixed with another medium to provide some stability. If it is dry it provides very little traction and tends to slide around the enclosure.
