spur thighs foods need help!

Iv been given a some what limited diet sheet with foods to feed my 2 spur thighed tortoises.
Are there any spur thighed owners who could give me a list of foods and also do foods that your little guys enjoy eating.

So far mine love dandylions, carrot, peas, rocket, red pepper, water cress... anything else I could try?
Thanks

Hello, Are you referring to the Testudo species of Spur Thighs or G. sulcata? It helps to know which one for appropriate diet. Many people refer to Sulcatas as Spur Thighs as well.

Sorry to sound like an idiot but what is the difference? All I was told by the vet is that they are African Spur Thigh tortoises nothing more?

African Spur thighs are usually referred to a Sulcata. These are the ones that get really big, males up to 150 lbs females about 75 lbs.
Here some info on them;

Try http://www.tortoises.net It has a fantastic list of foods, all natural and availabe free. This is for the smaller Med 'spur thighed' tortoise though as opposed to the African 'spurred' or sulcata. if you have a sulcata then it should be eating mainly grasses and not the stuff you mention.
Hope this helps

Take care
