I've been offering it to my sulcata hatchling twice a week. I've been giving it a soak in a little bit of water to moisten it, then adding my calcium + d3 supplement to it. I take the leftover water and dump it in their water dish. The little one goes NUTS over it, was curious if its ok to bump up to more often feeding this? ..or am I doing ok as a treat, or if I should shelve it. Regular diet has been weeds and grass from outside. Present: Booger (cat) Recent Loss: RIP Deasil (sulcata) Past: Cats, dogs, a rabbit, a horse and cow, chickens, sea monkeys, lots of fish, mice, hamsters, a ferret, a bat until its wing healed, snakes, a tarantula, a couple of pine scorpions... |

RE: Looking for advice for this tort food (t-rex tort dry formula)
Ok, a couple disclaimers first... I don't have a sulcata (yet!) and I do feed this food (or something very similar) to my forest torts. That being said, I would not feed this food to a sulcata because I think that it is probably a little too sweet for them. I don't worry about it with my forest torts because they enjoy a high-fruit diet. I could be wrong, but that's my instinct on it. If you want to use pellets, mazuri is probably a better bet.
