Mine is about 1 year give or take a couple months and he is bordering on 6" and weighs in at about 350 grams. I have been curious to see a little growth chart from others too.

When I got Mortimer 5/1/2008[estimated hatch date August 2007], she was 245g[8.64 oz] Sept 30,2008 570g. June 9,2009 1825g [64.42oz] Oct 20,2009 7.7lbs Dec 29,2009 3.86 kilo[? 8.5 lbs]
Not to sure how she was kept before October 2007[she was bought in Michigan at a flee market.

Just going off of memory, but my most recent one was around 3" at a year. She about 2 years now and right around 5". I grow them slow. I don't feed as much as some and what I do feed is less nutritious than most. I feed a lot of grass and weeds.

I'm doing something different as I've never seen the fast growth rates that other people talk about. My biggest male is only 40 pounds and 20" at 12 years old.

I think another contributing factor is that mine are always in huge outdoor pens in the sun, so whatever they do eat gets largely "burned off" by copious quantities of exercise.

That is one thing marlin is gonna work on this summer.... exercise! I think he needs more of it

So the more they eat the bigger they get? Is that right so if they eat just enough then they will grow slower?
