Tail?

.jpg  Picture or Video 015.jpg (Size: 104.21 KB / Downloads: 19) Hey guys....& gals. I was just reading up on Egyptian torts,
& it showed picks of male & female tails & scutes.
The females cloacal was puckered with the males a
straight slit. Does this work with Red Foots? Am attatching
a photo of my RF torts tail. What do you say?

RE: Tail?
I think that most RF guru's tell the gender by the shape of the plastron there at the tail, and the size of the tail. And RF gender can't be positive until they are something like 8 inches.

RE: Tail?
Yeah I was going to say it looks female too, unless it was a small hatchling. Because that is one tiny tail.

RE: Tail?
Thanks guys! Yeah, it is a short tail.LOL But this tort didn't have the optimum
start either. I have talked to Terry about it, but the one clutch mate to this
one I have contact with is twice its size, but is much more pyamided than
this tort, and is force fed on Iguana & tortoise pellets/with some thawed frozen
vegies. My "Turtle" has a much more natural diet.
