Since her "nesting" video brought an underwhelming response.. maybe the end results will mean something.

For some reason she chose to nest at the entrance of their hide.. [Image: 36_20_1.gif].. just where the cypress starts!

As you can see they like it 'wet' when they lay..

Look close and there is a second egg in there..

All done and she started to cover them up.. so I set her aside - eggs IN the nest..

Out of the nest and set aside to be cleaned up..

All cleaned up.. coded and ready for incubator..

These are the largest eggs she has ever laid! She alternates with 5 and 6 egg clutches.. all season. She will nest again about the 3rd week in August.

Now the 4 month [ 120-125 days is typical.. have had them go 152 ] wait begins.

This is what Larry is talking about:

Sonshine is my alpha Guyana female [ upwards of 14" scl ]. It has rained a good 1.5" the past 2 days.. so they are all "muddy torts"!

She found a good 'wallow' and has been in it.. so I enticed her with a strawberry - look at her legs..
