snail eggs

someone told me tortoises can eat snail eggs and i wondered if this was true? although i haven't got my tortoise yet i do have many snails and snail eggs.... i'd rather hear from people on this forum who seem to know their stuff rather than listen to someone who had heard it from someone else!

It depends on the type of tortoise you get. Redfoots, Yellowfoots, Hingebacks need protein in their diet, so snails are perfect for them. Most other tortoises would only eat snails once in a great while.
