Sad/happy

I'm sad because my box turtle Bean has passed. He was an amazing turtle, had him for 9 years and I rescued him as an adult. I got him cremated today and am now starting to think about what future tort I want next. My house is so empty without him! This photo was taken12 hours before he died unexpectedly and of suspicious circumstamces.
Any suggestions on a specific type of turtle I should get?

I live in colorado, and would keep my turtle inside but take them out as much as possible. I'm not into super aggressive I want something laid back

As for another, once large enough, all turtles/tortoise should be able to live outside at least in the warm months. Consider that when you get another. You can let them sleep inside at night and put them outside during the day.

Your wanting a tortoise this time? How large are you thinking? Quite a few come up in your local Craig's list, plus you have a rescue you could check into. Or are you thinking a hatchling?

A good idea to get another turtle, though it'd be hard to actually 'replace' one wth another I think.
