Turtle Pond PICS

Today was a beautiful Spring day here in Pennsylvania. My wife and I decided to visit a recreational wildlife reserve owned by the power company. It has a number of trails as well as a large man made lake and my favorite, this man made pond which is full of turtles!

We found about a dozen of these basking painted turtles along the bank. As we approached them, I took a number of great shots before they "ker-plunked" into the pond! We also saw a couple baby turtles but they were to fast for me to get a picture of them!

Turtle pond at Montour Preserve, Washingtonville, PA.

Oh yeah, I also did a little dance on the trail when I almost stepped on this fellow! I made sure he moved on so no one else would hurt him! Smile
