So I have had my baby leopard tortoise for about 2 months I got him at a local reptile pet shop he had some pyramiding when I first got him I have never seen him drink I soak him every day and I noticed that he doesn't eat much anymore he has lost 8 grams in 3 days his temps are 95-100 degrees basking spot and the cool side is 80 degrees and humidity is at 75% he has access to water and I feed him fresh greens every day I sprinkle calcium supplement on his food 3 times a week I tried mazuri but he doesn't like that I have given him a vitamin soak and I'm going to try a baby carrot soak later today he is housed on a coconut fiber cypress mulch mix bedding mostly coconut fiber

Bump your min temp to 85. I don't find anything else in your description that you need to change. The baby food soaks might help. If this baby suffered a dry start, and has damaged organs, all you can do is provide the best conditions you can and hope he pulls through. I have lost 2 dry started babies. So sorry this is happening. Do you know who the breeder was?

Ok thanks
I don't know who the breeder was but there are sulcata babies every once in awhile and you can tell they are started pretty dry

Can this even happen if the baby is about 3 months old when I got him he was at least 1.5 moths old

Yes. The damage is done by the chronic dehydration in their first few days or weeks. It can take months for it to kill them, and everything seems perfectly fine all the while.

What does your tortoise weigh?

Will I be able to force feed him with a seringe and what kind of food would be the best

That won't do any good at all, and potentially could do a lot of harm.

Offer the best care you can and hope for the best. His fate was decided by the breeder long ago, we just don't know what it is yet. He will either make it, or he won't. By keeping him hydrated and at the correct temps, you will be giving him the best chance of survival you can.

Omg he just ate half of a zoo med grassland tortoise diet pellet and a couple bites of mazuri I soaked him in carrot baby food and water for an hour I guess that did the trick thanks for the help! :D
