Hey all. Just wanted to do an update on my leopard enclosure. It is still working very well. The lifetime raised bed is a GREAT indoor enclosure option for younger tortoises or for overwintering yearlings through juveniles.
Here are some photos.

Just wondering. The mats on the bottom, is that the only floor or does it come with a bottom?

When I set up the next one for my foster tortoise I will probably cut a piece of plywood the size of the foam mats so that I can slide it around if I need to.

That's what I was concerned about if there wasn't another bottom. The plywood would be a good idea. An easy fix to a great enclousre idea.

any problems holding heat or humidity?
None. It is fantastic. I've been extremely pleased. This is so much better than the big plastic totes with plexiglass lids that I was using before. I wish I had this system when they were hatchlings.

The lights and humidifier/fogger go off at 8pm and the CHE's on thermostats take over for heat. I don't add humidity to the chamber at night. It's almost always between 76%-80% when I check on them just before lights on at 8am.

hmmm now you got me thinking i found a 4x8 just like this and i had to stop using my 4x8 custom because it wasn't holding heat or humidity so well and i've been wrestling with the decision of one of these or building a new enclosure hmmm arg such a hard decision lol

if you werent using a fogger do you think it's sealed enough to hold humidity with no aid needed? like on a closed chamber

In my home...it's far too dry to hold "high" humidity but would hold moderate humidity just fine. It's extremely dry here. My hydrometers often read 13%-19% so it would not hold above 80% on its own...it would suck the moisture out of the enclosure.
The tent top has done an impressive job at holding in the heat and humidity but it is not sealed to the enclosure. It can be sealed with tape, as I tried that in one side at one point to test it but I just haven't needed because of the fogger and how stable it's been.

I am really impressed by how well this is working out for you. A great habitat for leopards and young sulcata.
