Can I Paint My Tortoise's Shell

Can you write or paint the shell with like nail polish??

You can. It is not good for their shell and very pointless in my opinion. The wrong type of paint can be toxic.

You can do damage if you get it on the growing areas between scutes.

Many of us use a tiny dot in the middle of one scute for ID purposes, but it would not be advisable to paint large portions of the shell.

We have 2 Sulcata tortoises. 1 is a friend's but we r caring for it until his living situation becomes stable. They are only 3 mths old and r from the same litter. (or whatever it's called)
