Hi everyone I just want to know if I'm feeding my tortoise too much I feed her every day twice a day now I hear I should only be feeding her 3 times a week she's a one-year-old Herman's tortoise

Sounds like you are doing it right already. I feed mine twice a day everyday. The couple days a week feeding regime is old info and wasn't good when it was new info.

One year old is still a fast growing baby. I'd keep doing what you're doing.

Thanks so much you guys I appreciate it she or he does look really good very smooth shell I give a variety of foods TNT Cactus broadleaf mix chia seeds and a lot more of a variety of foods I grow in containers in organic soil I'm so worried about doing the wrong thing I would you believe my tortoise doesn't like hibiscus trying to upgrade her pic having a hard time though this is a pic of her as a baby love you guys thanks again

I know it's not a lot of good tortoise info but Garden State tortoise Chris Leone he's an excellent source of information I purchased from him I live in New York don't like to bother him too much though he's very busy man but he always answers your questions and yeah what's a lot of trouble to get a hibiscus tree started inorganic soil and she doesn't eat it LOL oh another good source of information is Kamp Kenan he's on YouTube another expert so so good

Chris Leone - yes, but Camp Kenan, not so much.

Forgot to say I received my baby from Chris a year ago very healthy beautiful little baby Herman's and she or he looks great one year later I call her Daisy

Chris is an outstanding source of tortoise knowledge, especially for hermanns considering all the work he's done related to the species. I'm surprised your little one doesn't like hibiscus. My 3-month-old from GardenStateTortoise loves it! I imagine it's like eating a pack of Skittles

I was kind of disappointed but she does eat a lot of other things she loves butternut squash I actually pulled one off the tree and try to give it to her today even try to lead it to it she got a little mad and backed up on me so I'm done trying I am Italian I push everybody to eat LOL
