Will you be following local day/night cycles of 18-20 daylight and 6-4 darkness, or modifying it to a more NORMAL day/night cycle?

He's on a normal day/night schedule. Alaska's day and night hours drive me nuts. His lights go off automatically at 7PM. Little fella needs his sleep

I've been out of town for about a week but Spur is up to 208g, finally past the 200 mark! We're shooting for the 1lb goal now! Hope all is well!

Great name. I took a 5lb Sulcata to my granddaughters 2nd grade class in Alaska. They were studying Africa & the teacher knew I had been there & wanted me to show some things I brought back.

They didn't expect the Sulcata. He was the hit of the day. I think there was only one kid in the class that had ever even seen a turtle. They were fascinated.

It's fun to watch them grow - quite the personality.

Thanks Mike, it is funny how many folks here are amazed by the fact that my family has a tortoise; like you're experience many of them have never seen one before.
