Hey everyone! It has been a while since I have last posted about Littlefoot. He/she is outside now 24/7 and is getting closer to 2 years of age. Is it possible to determine a sex yet? Here are a few pictures. Me and my wife think Female. She currently weighs about 740 grams.

Littlefoot is around 1 year 7 months if my calculations are correct. Would he/she show better in 6 months or will he/she just need to grow larger regardless?

Oh, interesting. I guess it's ambiguous for now. I was leaning female myself. We shall see!

No idea. It started early on and I haven't seen much of anything new though.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell from this pic if this is a Russian or Greek Tort and the aporoximate age?
I visited a place today with several different species and now I'm unsure. Thanks!

I've never kept either but I'm guessing that it's a Russian. You'd probably be better off asking on these 2 subforums than on this one IMO.

The tortoise is much too young to tell the sex... abtortoise is usually sexually mature at 7-10 years old, sometimes longer...
If I were to say as a guess, based on the v shape of the anal scutes, your tortoise could be a male.
It's best to examine the tortoise's actions and behavior for a better guess. If you take your tortoise to a herp vet, they may be able to examine or take a DNA sample from your tort to say if it's a boy or girl...
I'd say it's best to examine the behavior of he tortoise, and see if it performs male or female behaviors as it matures.
