Look for a big fat tail with the vent close to the tip of the tail.

Larger one is female I think. And smaller one probably too, but still young so not certain.

Hmm, maybe the smaller one turns out to be a boy. Sorry I don't know for sure.

How can two females???

It is territorial behaviour. Males and females do it. One is telling the other to leave. They do not do well as pairs and must be kept separately otherwise the stressed loser in this battle will get very sick.

They are not social. They don’t get lonely. They don’t want to be with each other

If one is mounting the other and you can't see any sign of the mounters maleness then the experts are probably right.
