I know this is kinda a rough sketch but my Sulcata is 54 grams and 5 months old and I’m building him a table. These are my sketches for it and wanted to see if you guys thought it was okay? Would 2 x4 feet be too small? IMG_1515900076.727849.jpg

Looks cool, might need to be bigger though as your little guy will grow fast.

I’m 17 and living at home so whatever I build is only meant to be for the next couple of years until I move out and get something more permanent

That will not be big enough to last a couple of years. When properly cared for these guys grow FAST. Mine is averaging a weight gain of 10grams a week and is a little over 4months old. His current enclosure is 2x4 and will need a much larger one this spring.
Go as large as possible.

2x4 is okay for a hatchling, but unless something is wrong, they will outgrow it in a few months. Build a 4x8' closed chamber if you want it to last a while.

The bigger, more immediate problem is that if you build it with those holes and lights outside the enclosure, all your warm humid air will be drawn up and into the room. Do yourself and your tortoise a favor and build a closed chamber with the lights inside.
