So it seems to me my tort, Rolo is FAT. She seems puffy on her sides. When I got her in Sept she was 54 grams. And now she is 230+ grams. She loves loves loves Mazuri. It’s her drug if I can say that! She gets 2 to 4 of the large soaked nearly everyday plus endive, escarole, carrot greens and sometimes turnip tops. Lately I’m assumed to say been giving her a little romaine to get her off the

Tortoises like you should eat every day. If they have a proper diet and a properly sized enclosure, heating, lighting and humidity, they would not get over weight.
Post pics of your enclosure, the dimensions and temps, the diet etc and we can see what might be wrong or missing.

It's tortoises' nature to eat daily. If you feed the right foods and offer a big enough enclosure so they can get enough exercise, they don't get fat. What you see on your tortoise is water retention, not fat deposits.

Your tortoise should be fed the right foods daily. Cut the Mazuri back to once or twice a week. Try to get more weeds, leaves and flowers in the diet, and less grocery store greens. Spring is almost here! Add more variety from the grocery store greens. Collards, kale, arugula, cilantro, occasional parsley or spinach, bok choy, mustard greens, etc...

I know I can’t wait till spring! We are now vacationing in Sanibel and it’s ridiculous how warm it is here. Back in Missouri where we are from my parents are watching my tort and other herd! I can’t wait to get her out in the fresh air and sunshine! I’m working out an outdoor enclosure right now. She needs that! Winter in Missouri is not tortiose friendly! Greens are just not there and I’ve learned I need to prepare for winter for my tort. And another question - my parents are watching my animals and my dad was not comfortable soaking her when he comes in the morning by himself so she’s been getting soaked and fed at night with my mom able to watch! So is she going to be messed up and out of routine!? I normally soak her right when her light comes on in the morning at 6. When her timer clicks on she’s out and looking for me!
