Hermann one eye doesn’t open

Hi all,
I have a new Hermann tortoise about a year old. When I picked her up one eye was closed person I got her from thought it was a birth defect.
I took her straight to the vet, who seemed to agree.
I have now noticed she is rubbing the side of her face with her leg on the side where the eye is closed.
She seems to be eating well and is active.
She lives indoors in a tortoise table.
Should I take her back to the vet.

Put some oil on a Q-tip and gently rub the eye across the slit where top lid meets bottom lid (horizontally).

Soak the baby daily in warm water for about 30 minutes, then rub the eye after the soak.

Please post a picture of the eye.

Hi I have an update. We have been to the vet had 3 antibiotic injections and now doing 3 times a day eye flushes and antibiotic gel. I have been bathing twice daily and recently gently rubbing with olive oil. The vet mentioned her head seems a flatter shape to on the side with the closed eye. I have uploaded some pictures not sure how clear they will come out. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
